Here’s a short little clip of me singing “O don fatale” from Don Carlo (Verdi)✨ Warning: super vulnerable sappy post ahead 🙃 Usually I am incredibly hesitant to post ANY opera recordings so publicly…most of the time I will listen to myself and just rip the recordings to shreds, nit-pick every little detail, and question myself and everything that I have worked towards. This character who sings this aria is one of my dream roles. I have many (lol), but this is definitely top 3. The aria is SO difficult, an absolute marathon…and I didn’t think I would be worthy of singing it. After a ridiculously long time of working on this, I finally felt comfortable enough to actually sing it… and just in time for a recital 😊 So why am I writing out this longwinded rambling post? Honestly I don’t know, I thought this might help someone. I guess, if you have something that brings you so much joy and happiness, SHARE it with the world.
